Is the RL02 cable straight-through?

I have a straight-through cable I snagged from a DZ11, I'm trying to use it. I can get the FAULT light to go out, but I can't spin the drive up.
When I have it connected, I get no lights on power on, WRITE PROT will switch
on and off when pressed, LOAD doesn't, and putting a pack in doesn't help.
Is the drive dead?
