They don't add that here in the US. But the US Navy uses alcohol for
servicing torpedos (it literally is torpedo fluid!) and it is purplish so
it may have pyridine added. The denatured alcohol here seems to be as
usuable as ethyl alcohol for everything except drinking. I've had no
problems using it to service electronics equipment.
