  IIRC; the main graphics machine was a Perkin-Elmer device..
somewhere I have that description of it... they were one of the
hi-thruput also-rans that dropped out via natural selection. P/E are
also the folks who brought you the only-slightly-out-of-spec Hubble
telescope Mirror.
