300? What unnecessary and wasteful luxury. My 110 baud acoustic
coupled modem is perfectly adequate with my ASR-33. :-)

Well, it used to be. Unfortunately I gave away the ASR-33 ten years
ago, and now I really regret it. At least I have a few DECwriter IIs
left.
