I have gotten a number of computers that way including the Lisa 2 and IBM
5100. Even when told what the computer might be worth, people have still
given me computers.

We disagree here, as I still think it is a lot of fun. As far as the chance
of ending up with it, it is exactly what you are willing to pay for it.
While it is a lot of fun to find something new for free or very low cost
(i.e. the IBM TPC I just got), I do not agree with taking advantage of
peoples ignorance about what something might be worth, especially if I am
out soliciting computers. Running into them on ads or at swap meets does
not constitute taking advantage :)!
