We used one on our Apple ][+.  One of the machines at the VCF was set up the
same way, I think.

Make sure the cables are aligned, otherwise you will fry a diode (it could be
another component -- I think it's a rectifier).  This applies to the Disk ][ --
I don't know about other drives.
