Go to an air conditioning supply wholesalers or appliance parts dealer
and buy a universal window air conditioner filter kit. It is a black
open cell foam sheet about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick that is cut to shape
for old a/c units that the oem filter is not readly available. costs
about 6 to 8 dollars.
