IBM 7545

I just ran into an IBM Industrial Robot where the tags said "IBM 7545". Is
anyone familiar with this thing? I am told it was meant to be interfaced to
a 286 computer and the chips on one of the controllers had a date code of
1984. There is apparently at least one binder that came with the unit.
