I have an HP 3100A "PhotoSmart" scanner. It does 5"x7" prints, slides
and negatives. It runs $400 MSRP; I got mine for $200 used. On slides and
negatives, it does 1200 dpi; not great, but it's the best slide scanner
I've seen for under $2000.
