The A-Series, apparently introduced in 1983, appears to be compatible
with the E-Series, F-Series, L-Series.

             2108M 650 1980, 1981
             2112M 650 1980, 1981

All of the above run DS/1000 and IMAGE/1000

In many cases, you may see other model numbers (e.g., L-Series
with 12030A, or 2103L ... both are in the "Ordering Information"
in the 1981 catalog, but neither are in the table of HP 1000
systems on the prior page (which has only 2142A).

Apparently, the rest of the universe slowed down after the 1991
catalog came out, because MIPS got faster in 1992 (IIRC,
the floating point performance for the A-Series didn't change
when the MIPS rating changed)

The oldest Test & Measurement Catalog I have is 1980.

I looked in 1980..1983, and 1990..1993 for the above data.
