Ok, this is getting a bit out of hand. My suggestion meant that if you
have an old HD that you're about to chuck into the bin because you can't
get it to work, try this as a *last resort*. This isn't even a perm. fix.
I did it on a 286 laptop that someone gave me. It was a 20meg drive and
the machine was just a spare. I liked it though, but it's not the end of
the world that the screen cracked.
