        Nice drives! The Pertec interface is pretty simple -- a pair of 50-
conductor flat cables, and the appropriate IDC connectors, will do
nicely.

        Note that the pair of 50's is assuming that the drive(s) already
have a formatter built in. There would be three cables (read, write,
and control) going from formatter to drive, and the two 50 flats
would then attach to the formatter.

        What controller did you have in mind for it? Not all can handle
6250 (GCR) densities.

        FWIW, those drives work Really Well with the Dilog or Emulex
Qbus tape controllers.
