Uhh, you should never use *any* big words when talking with some of those
reporters who are clueless at the get go.

I was interviewed some years ago by a young, non-technically oriented
reporter about my early radio display at a local antique farm equipment
show. When I saw the confused wording and downright mixed up descriptions
that was actually printed I dang near knocked myself out when I slapped my
forehead in exasperation. Sheesh.
