Well you can get gcc for VAX/VMS (I'm not sure of the status of the Alpha
port) and Digital/Compaq released Bliss-32 for both Alpha and VAX. There
are sure to be other languages/compilers available (Modula-2/3 comes to
mind). Once my home VAX arrives I guess I'll be looking for languages
(although it'll be hard to find anything I like better than Bliss-32 - even
though it's a _strange_ version of Bliss-10 which is one of my favorite
programming languages, along with Algol-68 and BCPL).
