That's the option. True. I do have linux redhat 5.2 (apollo) and
win95 (build 950) on Hot Veg machine and win98 on another PII
350 R2 (Reliable Two) machine.
All are very reliable. To your surprise I'm sure. Win9x problems
caused by addons that u don't need and many downloads s/w (recent one
I had just threw out is WSFTP LE 4.60 trial ver.). And also 1 month
ago, have no problems with netscape 3.04 Gold with both
Java/JavaScript disabled. Sharing IRQ and any conflicts causes
problems too. Good decent cards and decent motherboard and hardware
parts is a must. Normal use for win9x yes, as server no. Ditto to
NT. I had to throw out: Motherboard monitor, and another
temperature monitoring s/w, Netscape 4.x and few others I don't
recall in my mind.
But Linux, VERY GOOD OS.
I'm starting out to learn on Linux. Got any good book that details
many items to try out in fashion like this book I have: "Linux
Config. and Installation." Sec Ed. by Patrick Volkerding, Kevin
Reichard, Eric F. Johnson? This book only details basic custom
setting up of fuvm, bit of EMACs, using linux console. But I LIKED
the style of writing and item in that book.
I'm looking for:
GCC C, CC+ programming in tutorial style with problem homework to
solve.
More linux commands to learn and configure in smallest details.
etc.
