M7546 - TK50 or TK70?

I realize this isn't ebay related, but could someone clue me into what the
7546 controls? The DEC site lists it as a:

M7546-00 Q-BUS TAPE CNTRL, DBL 8.5
                    
And its in my uVAX with no removable media.
