Applesoft BASIC question

Yes. Not by a whole lot unless they are in an inner loop.

I used to have a program that would strip comments out, so that you
could keep a maintainable commented version of a program, and run it
through the filter to produce a faster, smaller version. Of course,
once Applesoft compilers became common, it was no longer necessary.

Anyone have an extra copy of TASC (Microsoft's Applesoft compiler)
for sale?
