*sighs* Funny, the "house number" on the part in question is 8234B. I'd
frown so used to standard 74xx logic having weird house numbers that I
simply assumed it was the case for this package as well (it *does*
have a DG logo stenciled on it, so my assumption wasn't all *that* unwarranted).

Thanks to Tony for spotting the part, and Tim for actually looking up the
cross reference...
