Isn't 3.0 also where they moved the loader into the OS itself, instead of
being part of COMMAND.COM? Could be wrong. Also they added the executable
filename to the end of the environment, since it was no longer guaranteed
to be in the PATH.

At what point did they add the ability to have multiple DOS partitions?
