A good question. I'd abandoned CIS for the Net five years ago
or so, and haven't looked back. CIS et alia were very protective
of their library collections. At least while they mattered to the
world, they didn't want them to appear in toto on BBSes, CDs, etc.
And now, probably, they are gone. It's not so long you might
think a backup exists somewhere. In a few hours of phone calls,
you might ferret out someone within CIS who would admit they
exist. However, converting them to a useful format might be tough.
You'd want both the file(s) as well as the ~1K text description
of each file.
