Well, the x86 Solaris doesn't seem as solid as the Sparc version...
(at least at v7... I haven't run v8 yet at home).
And if you support Solaris Sparc at work a home system for a testbed
is a good thing.
And yes, you can't kill Sparc machines or AIX boxes or VaxStations like
you can cheap PC's... although the Seagate in my main Sparcstation20
departmental server did blow chunks on Friday. The 2gb'cuda sounded
like a metal lathe.
