Sun Sparc2 offered to me. What should I check for?

Nope, when you get into *serious* I/O you switch to either IBM or HP. We've
found that we're having to move off of Sparc's because of I/O bottlenecks.
Guess that's what happens when you're shifting Terabytes of data though....
