And if they hadn't, we'd still be able to type "user 1" in a
command shell today. :-) Uh oh, it worked:

E:\WINNT\system32>user 1

E:\WINNT\system32>

E:\WINNT\system32>which user.exe
Found E:\WINNT\system32\user.exe
