That was one of the single most significant M$ marketing coups. What's
funny now is to periodically see Windows products labelled as "legacy"
compared to Linux. Not as often as I might like.
It must leave a bitter taste to those marketers and their PC hardware
industry amen corners who always considered M$ products as immune to
becoming obsolete except when compared to newer M$ products.
