It might help to know a little more about what you are trying to
accomplish with it, to know what other parameters there are, such as what
range of channels does it need to tune? What kind of output do you want?
What physical, price, power, constraints are there?


For example, if your goal is merely to make a TV out of a monitor, then a
VCR would add extra funtionality.

Some cable boxes have composite output.

Some closed caption boxes (VR100) have RF and composite in, and
RF and composite out.
