8080 Complier Recommendation

You may find the use of DRI's MASM under one of the CP/M-emulators to work out
the best for you. I once read about a translator that took Z80 (Zilog
mnemonics) source code and translated it into the 8080-mnemonics+macros syntax
that MASM+Maclib80 (?) produce for you so you could manually substitute macros
that accomplish what the Z80-only opcodes and accomplish. I have no experience
with this but perhaps someone else can advise you about that, since it's useful
if you use a 'C' compiler to generate Z80 assmbler but want to modify the code
for use with an 8080.
