It's certainly possible. I have a third-party MO disk for NeXT which
allows the user to store data on both sides of the disk, resulting in 512
MB storage. You do have to flip it over, though, to access the additional
256 MB.

Where are you located? I have NeXT pieces which I can lend to the effort.
