I. The Pentium is related to the z80 by way of the 8088 based on the
8080!

II. Before DOS there were people developing OSs, Flex, Unix, OS/9,
NS*dos,
   And an assortment of CP/M clones.

III. There were 16 bit decendants of 6502, they had potential.
