IIRC, A/UX has support for the IOPs. Other than that, the simplest thing
to do is put them in passthrough mode so that it acts like a normal Mac's
Z8530. There was a CDEV to do that for System 6.0.8 and probably 7.0.
It couldn't be too hard to disassemble it and figure out how it does
its magic.
