Perhaps, but it would seem that the entire oil industry acts as a single
monolithic beast committed to its own survival.

Capitalistic, Communistic, Sociallistic or any other 'istic' it still functions
the same way. MONEY and POWER.

Forget idealistic differences and political opposing viewpoints, that marriage
is committed to the same sole purpose.
