How about if I blew the air from a distance? There's got to be a happy
medium between a point-blank discharge and spraying from across the room.

Not in this case. The G617 daughtercard is mounted over the G616 as a
plastic cover would normally be, with its core side facing the core on the
G616. Holding the board up to light and peering into the space between
the two boards, I can see quite a few dust clumps.
