I have quite a few copies of Practical Electronics, as well
as some Everyday Electronics. I'll check them out.

I remember reading old copies of PE in the school
Electonics Lab, back in 1979. There were articles about
making a quite sophisticated analog robot of the "white
line follower" or "light-seeking" type. The magazines were
old, even then, so I'd suspect a date from the late 1960s.
