Fortunately that hasn't hit purdue yet. No manuals, most of the time, but
everything I've gotten that has a hard drive in it (which works) has had
an OS also, and usually it also has all of the old user's data and
applications still on it.

Heck, I just got an IBM RS/6000 model 170 from there a few days ago, and
it came with a full (but old) version of AIX on it, including all the old
users data and apps. Around here, if it's not a PC, they don't know how
to reinstall the OS it seems.
