Again I'm on digest, so I have not seen any
replies to these questions. But I have been
searching the web half the night and .........

After years of wanting one, it seems to have been
right under my nose and I didn't see it.
It turns out that Windows comes with a program that
does CCITT Group 3 and 4 compression.
OK, no more 15 MB files.
