Even with warranty service, I've had excellent turn around
times with IBM, Apple and Maynard. Earlier this year Apple had my
Powerbook shipped to them, repaired and back in my hands in less than
a week, including overnighting the shipping container to me so that I
could send it back. Didn't Maxtor or Quantum buy Maynard 5-6 years
ago?
