The problem I found wonce with Netscape is, that it knows: OH! .gz. that
is compressed, I will decompress it for my user and when I am on the way
I will do a character set conversion (WinDOS PC to latin1 e.g.).
So This problem may depend on improper MIME type settings on the server
and / or false interpretation of MINE types by Netscape.
I don't use Netscape for downloads because of this. I use ftp, wget or
curl.
