Thanks to everyone for help in coming up with the 2708
specs+programming algorithm. I've built a 2716 to 2708
UVEPROM copier (upper or lower 1K at a time), at
http://sloboyko.home.mindspring.com/2708.htm. It uses
a Scenix (now UBICOM) microcontroller to run it, and
I've successfully loaded some classic 8008 code into
some classic chips with it.
BTW, if anyone looks at the web page, can anyone tell
me WHO made the turd brown 7406 in the center of the
board. I bought it at the Dayton Hamfest. It's the
worst made package I've ever seen. The leadframe isn't
even entirely tinned and the package had lots of flash
on it (It's marked EL7406, 0384). Works, though.
