Jerome Fine replies:
For those of you familiar with RT-11, I was comparing RT-11 partitions.
Under Ersatz-11, the commands are:
MOUNT DU0: CDROME:/RONLY
MOUNT DU1: rt11freewarev2.iso/RONLY
Under RT-11, I am allowed to:
SET D00: UNIT=0,PART=0.
...
SET D23: UNIT=0,PART=19.
SET D30: UNIT=1,PART=0.
...
SET D53: UNIT=1,PART=19.
DIFFERENCES/BINARY D00:/START:0./END:65535. D30:/START:0.
...
DIFFERENCES/BINARY D23:/START:0./END:65535. D53:/START:0.
For the RT-11 Freeware V2.0 CD, the 20 partitions take less than 30 seconds
each, so I can compare the complete CD with the original full size ISO file
in
under 10 minutes.
Under Windows 98, even FC.EXE must know about the internals of a ".gz"
file. Obviously, Nero Burning does NOT!!
If anyone can help me with using Windows 98 to download just the compressed
file, it would be appreciated. John Allain suggested FTP, but I don't know
the
rest of the commands. The address is:

Sincerely yours,
Jerome Fine
