I won't argue that. I just wanted to point out at least one reasonably
capable adapter that has a BIOS that enables you, the user, to look at how the
devices attached to the SCSI identify themselves.

BTW, it's spelled ADAPTEC on the box in front onf me ...

Are any of those mfg's still in business?
