Sort of. You have to use all the same wire and the same rated
connectors, or you have to install a sub panel. Im Germany you
need at least 10mm^2 (16mm^2 ?) cable to and a 63A fuse in front
of the sub panel in the main panel.
Or somthing like that. Is to long (12 years?) since I worked
as electrician... and VDE 0100 may have changed in that time too.
In general splicing high current lines is a bad idea. The splice
puts additional resistence in the circuit. When made bad, the splice
will run hot when a lot of power is sucked down the line ... then
you need the fire department. =:-()
