OT: dumpster dive and water/mold cleanup

We had a 78 sized (12" I guess) video disk recorder and players for
training new GI's on our missile systems in the mid to ,ater 80's at
Chanute, I guess that's about as close to a laser turntable as I've seen.

I have no idea, since I read about it quite some time ago. I imagine much
info could be googled up about it though.

Has a laser pickup turntable ever been on the market? I remember reading
about R/D for one, but don't recall ever seeing one sold anywhere.
