I think that generally, a "thin client" displays GUI type stuff, while a
terminal is character based. Also, Thin Clients are usually associated
with MicroSoft based systems such as Terminal Server and Citrix
WinFrame. They generally use the MS T-Streams protocol or Citrix ICA
protocol. They are kinda like X servers, only for Windoze.
