Yea, I don't know, definitely not my experience, were
these low interest auctions (less then 5 bids?). I
just did a search on completed ebay auctions, and all
the auctions with >10 bids were sniped.

When there are only a few bidders and little interest
in a auction item, all the differences between various
auction models melt away.
