   That is correct. The Ext/Int switch controls wheather it uses an
external or internal clock. With it in Ext position and no external clock
source attached it will never count.

    IIRC that means that the clock hasn't been set yet. You do know that
the front panel on these opens don't you? Underneath you'll find the
switchs to set the time and some other things.

   I have a manual for these SOMEWHERE I can try to find it if you need it.
