Old computers or workstations with cache memory?

Er, well.. while I don't have an answer to your question, I'm not sure
of the provenance of this one.

SGI wasn't founded until 1982 and their first product---released in
1983---was the IRIS 1000, which is a graphics terminal utilizing the
MC68000 CPU at 8 MHz. I have an engineering sample of that CPU board (a
slight modification of the original SUN CPU), dated 9/82. It has no
cache, inside OR outside the CPU.
