Depends on your definition of "real VAX".
If a "real VAX" is one of the VAX11/7xx, VAX 8xxx, VAX 6xxx line, yes
this is difficult.
If a "real VAX" is a computer with a VAX CPU, well, a VAXstation 4000
VLC is only a pizza box.
