Ah. I checked the console emulator ROM chip, and it doesn't appear to have
an ID code on it. Page E-1 of the M9312 manual says it should have the ID
code 248F1. Maybe a previous owner changed out the ROM out and the current
DIP switch settings are OK for whatever he put in.

Having the previous owner's handwritten notes mignt indeed provide some
insights here. I'll have to go down to Owen's and get them soon.
