I think the typical home user is much more like the business user, with a
bit lower system specs and a longer replacement cycle (3-6 years). Fewer
and fewer people have the time, or more importantly the skills, to build
their own systems these days, and unless they really want performance,
there is no longer any cost advantage to building your system from parts
as their was 6-10 years ago.
