Then again, to my experience Britisch car boot sales are
the best ting after dumpster diveing... I still remember
two stories, one was at a car boot sale in Ascot, where,
literaly, the third guy after the entrance had an Olivetti
PC-1 siting there, including the CRT and a fitting stand.
A machine I was looking for since years. With a sign stating
2 GBP (about 1 kg:).. I must have had a funy look in my face,
since the tried to explain what the machine is, when I told
him that I know it, he insisted that 2 GBP is the limit...
Of course I took it.

The other sale was on a car boot sale I just found along
one river wile driving along ... There was an old lady
and an incredible beautiful HP-46 like new in the original
carrying case. When I asked for the price she replyed
"Is 50 pence to much". I was stunned, and still feel bad
about just saying yes.

So, travler, if you'll ever make it to the island, don't
forget to stop by any car boot sale you can find.

Gruss
