I think I must clarify that further and say 'stop at any car boot sale
that's not in the south' because I'm hearing more and more reports of people
saying things like 'but these sell for loads on ebay' while they're trying
to get 30 quid for a NES or something like that. Of course, replies of 'this
isn't ebay, this is a muddy field' don't go down well, neither do snorts of
derision :)

Up here my experience is there are still good bargains to be had, like the
woman that I bought my Commodore P500 off - she didn't know what it was so I
offered here a few quid and scarpered.....

Oh, you also have to get there very early indeed to get in front of the
people who go booting solely to stick their purchases on ebay the same day.
It also helps to get friendly with regular sellers who can go round before
you get there....

Vectrex? ?3. Loaded Amiga 4000? ?15. ZX80? 50p. That sort of thing. I'm
still kicking meself for not buying that amiga purely because it didn't have
a keyboard! Duh.
